Connecticut’s third congressional district is located in the southern-central portion of the state. The district includes the greater New Haven area most of New Haven County. It also includes a small portion of Middlesex County and Fairfield Counties. New Haven is the largest city in the district and many of the towns and cities in the district are regarded as suburbs of New Haven. For this reason, it is sometimes called the New Haven District.

The current representative for the third district is Democrat Rosa DeLauro. DeLauro has held the seat since 1991. She has also already received a very large amount of money in addition to her own personal wealth.
We know that taking on a powerful incumbent like Rosa DeLauro will be an uphill battle, but we’re confident that the voters of the third district are ready for a change from the old political establishment to a new kind of leadership and innovative policies that will get the United States back on the right track to progress and prosperity.
